Simon Knight is the Director of Education at the National Education Trust. Prior to that he was a Deputy Headteacher in a school for children aged between 2 and 19 with Severe or Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities. He has sat on the DfE panels developing both the Teaching Assistant and Professional Development standards and chairs the ‘SEND Teachers’ group as part of the Whole School SEND consortium.
