Paul Barber became Director of the Catholic Education Service in April 2013. He is a barrister and a canon lawyer. He has taught law at Sussex University, King’s College, London and Westminster University, where he was also a Visiting Fellow. Before moving to the Catholic Education Service, he was Director of Education for the Diocese of Westminster, a post he held since 2003.
Paul is a founding trustee of the Chartered College of Teaching, a governor of both a voluntary aided federation and a sixth form college, and the chairman of a multi academy trust.
