After 20 years working in film production, Stephanie decided to take a break and enjoy time with her two children. In 2007 she founded School Food Matters, a charity campaigning for fresh sustainable food in schools and promoting food education through cooking, growing and visits to farms. In 2012 was invited to join the School Food Plan’s Expert Panel, tasked by the Department for Education to create an action plan to support head teachers to improve food in their schools. Stephanie is a trustee of Sustain; the alliance for better food and farming and Alexandra Rose Charity. She is also a parent governor at Grey Court School, a state comprehensive school in LB Richmond.
