The Academies Show covers the biggest issues facing the education sector including Finance, Funding, Governance, Recruitment, MATs, Technology, Estates and more, providing practical solutions and best practice case studies to benchmark and measure your schools’ performance.

Every visitor will be attending the show for a different reason, or to learn something new, so we’ve put together a short guide to help you to plan and get the most out of your time at The Academies Show:

Show times:

The Academies Show is a one day event that takes place on Wednesday 25th April:

Show opens: 09:00
Lunch available: 11:30 – 14:30
Show closes: 16:30

The ExCeL London Exhibition and Convention Centre is an easily accessible venue in the heart of South East London.

For more information about travelling to the venue please see our Venue & Travel page. The closest tube station is Custom House for ExCeL (East), and the venue is also served by cable car and other local transport.

Printed vs mailed badges

All visitors will receive a confirmation email when they register to attend the show, which contains a barcode. This can be printed and used as your entry pass unless you request a posted badge.

Build your personalised programme

Visitors are encouraged to use our dedicated Programme Builder tool to create a personalised programme and itinerary for their day, based on their interests and job role. The programme builder tool can be found on the agenda page a few weeks before the event, and your curated itinerary will be emailed directly to you to print and bring with you. Please note: building a programme does not reserve you a place in any seminars or conference theatre sessions, and timings are subject to changes where necessary.

Get to know the floorplan

In the run up to the show, a 3D floorplan will be available to help you to plan your visit and get a feel for the show before the big day. Find out where your favourite speakers will be, where to grab a coffee, and plan how long you’ll need to get from one session to another based on where they’re located.

What should I bring with me?

Whilst we understand that the show is a full day out and you’ll want to come prepared, it is recommended not to bring large bags or suitcases to the event. There is a free cloakroom on-site, but high demand may result in queues that could prevent you from enjoying the show to its fullest.
