At The Academies Show London 2017 we are delighted to be launching a brand new theatre, dedicated to multi-academy trusts (MATs).
The MAT Summit will be hosted in association with FASNA, a supporter of the show in London and Birmingham for many years. Exploring topics such as collaboration, expansion and the financial health of an academy trust, the summit will allow senior leadership teams (SLTs) from existing MATs to seek advice on how to improve, and those from schools looking to convert to academy status under the guidance of an umbrella trust to find out more about what the future holds for their school and its partnerships.
FASNA will be leading a number of sessions within the summit throughout the day, including presentations from Joan Binder, Vice Chair, and Tom Clark, CBE FRSA, Chair of the Board.
Joan Binder will be covering the topic of the accountability of governors and governance within schools, and the impact it can have on the growth of an academy trust, and the challenges governance can create during the decision to convert and the conversion process itself, if the board is divided.
Tom Clark will be presenting in the MAT summit twice over the course of The Academies Show – once in the morning, tackling the process of forming, joining and growing a MAT, and later on the subject of the National Funding Formula, and what it means for your school.
